The Software-Zentrum Böblingen/Sindelfingen e.V. is an organisation started at the end of 1995 by the local district chamber of the Baden-Württemberg IHK, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the towns of Böblingen and Sindelfingen. The aim is to prevent the structural change in the region due to globalisation and the reduction of jobs associated with this. Daimler AG, Hewlett Packard GmbH and IBM Germany are founding members.
The Software-Zentrum Böblingen/Sindelfingen e.V. offers newly established, as well as existing, medium-sized software companies, the opportunity in a virtual company association, to work together, assert themselves in their markets and grow excessively. It supports the member companies in administrative and technical areas, as well as in publicity and marketing activities.
The current 85 member companies complement each other with their own core competencies. They cover a wide area of the IT market with abundant marketability and specialised technological knowledge. For this reason they are valued project partners for companies who want to differentiate themselves from competitors on the market. The quick adjustment to the development of the IT market characterises the medium-sized companies of the Software-Zentrum Böblingen/Sindelfingen e.V.
